Sandra
is interested in the therapeutic uses of music in a wide variety
of healing situations and has conducted a number of programs
on music therapy for Hospice of Shawnee, Hospice of El Reno,
Shawnee Positive Aging for Living, and Pottawotamie County
Retired Educators. Mrs. Meyer served as staff pianist 1994-1997
at the Mountaintop conference for senior adults at Mt. Sequoyah
Jurisdictional Conference and Retreat Center of the United
Methodist Church in Fayetteville, Arkansas, where she has
presented workshops on dealing with illness as well as providing
leadership in worship and presenting sacred concerts.
In
1997, 1998, and 2001 she was a participant in the Upper Room-sponsored
Five-Day Academies for Spiritual Formation in Mitchell, South
Dakota; Minneapolis, Minnesota; and Dubuque, Iowa, where she
served as pianist for several of the worship services.
Sandra
has presented her musical giftings through a number of concerts,
including these recent concerts: Christmas Eve at Wesley United
Methodist Church; an OBU Piano Quartet with Colleagues Carol
Ann Bell, Ann Gipson, and Ron Lewis; a worship concert for
Pleasant Home Baptist Church. In addition, she presents a
Hymn Concert at Wesley United Methodist Church every two or
three years. Her concert schedule will be posted on this site
as dates are confirmed.
